Key design features of Floatel Superior

Floatel Superior is designed for operations in the North Sea including the Norwegian Continental Shelf, an area with some of the most demanding regulatory requirements and some of the harshest environmental conditions in the world. Floatel Superior is also designed for operations in tropical waters.

• 440 bed accommodation, all single bed cabins, or 512 using double bed occupancy.
• 50 office work stations for Client exclusive use.
• Workshop facilities for construction support.
• Two large cranes (50 tonnes each) with a reach to transfer goods and material to the adjacent installation.
• Main deck work-area approx 2 200 m².
• Payload in operation is 2 700 tonnes.
• Powered by 6 generator sets of 11 kV, AC, 3.68 MW each.
• Positioning systems in unlimited water depth:
  -DP3 positioning system, highest redundancy class available
  -8 point mooring
  -Class notation POSMOOR V ATA
• Telescopic gangway for safe transfer of personnel to the installation, large telescopic action (+/-8 m) enabling the vessel to remain bridge connected in severe weather condition.
