Floatel International have signed a Contract with ConocoPhillips Pty Ltd, Australia for provision of its DP 3 accommodation and construction support vessel Floatel Superior for the Bayu Undan shut down program in 2010.
The charter period will commence immediately upon delivery of Floatel Superior from Keppel FELS Shipyard late March 2010. The base duration of the contract including transit to/from worksite is approximately 3 months.
Floatel Superior is a DP 3 semi-submersible accommodation and construction support vessel. The vessel is built to meet the most stringent rules and regulations for worldwide operation including the North Sea. It will have an accommodation capacity for 440 persons in single bed cabins and ample recreation areas as well as office facilities for client use. For the ConocoPhillips project, the accommodation capacity will be upgraded for 512 persons.
The large payload and deck area in combination with dual cranes able to support the host facility makes the vessel ideal for construction support during new construction, maintenance activities or for decommissioning project of offshore oil and gas installations.
