Floatel Superior in Drydock

Floatel Superior in Drydock

On the 12th of January the tow of both pontoons from the Philippines to Singapore commenced. The environmental conditions was pretty rough due to the monsoon season, however the pontoons reached Singapore on the 25th of January.

The columns were shipped from Guangzhou end of January on a self propelled barge. The journey from China commenced on the 24th and arrived safely in Singapore on the 1st of February.

All four lower columns were erected afloat during early February and on the 21st of February the pontoons entered the drydock where the work to erect the remaining part of the columns and later on the bracing commenced. Prior to leaving drydock late March, also the forward and aft corner of the deck sections will be erected.
